Colombia and Ecuador - A signature Tour

Arrival to Bogota. We meet you at the airport and travel together to La Candelaria, the historical center of town, where your hotel is conveniently located. Free time at leisure.

Board the metro cable and slowly ascend the green mountain to the highest point in the region Monserrate. From here, we'll head to the historic district of La Candelaria. Continue to the famous Plaza Bolivar where we can stop to eat or drink some of the famous Colombian coffee. Final stop will be the Gold museum where we'll see the largest collection of pre-Hispanic gold work in the world. Dinner and show.

After breakfast we travel four hours north of Bogotá to the small village of Villa de Leyva. Villa de Leyva is considered one of the most beautiful colonial villages in Colombia, famous for its cobblestone streets and grand colonial houses. After we've checked into our hotel, it's time to explore the surrounding area.

Today we wind our way through the countryside, and see a few small villages on the way to Zipaquirá. We visit the largest underground cathedral in the world located 200 meters below the Earth's surface in an abandoned salt mine. This evening we return to Bogotá to relax and watch a Salsa show with dinner.

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Quito. Arrival and transfer in to your hotel. Start exploring the capital of Ecuador by having a full day city tour. Next see the magnificent golden altars of La Compania Church and admire the impressive paintings at the Museum of Oswaldo Guayasamin. Have your photo taken in front of the Equatorial Monument, the "Center of the World."" Enjoy free time in the evening.

In the morning take your flight to Baltra, in the Galapagos. Upon arrival you will be met by a naturalist guide who will introduce you to this enchanting place and transfer you to the highlands of Santa Cruz. Visit to the Charles Darwin Research Station. You will have the chance to see the Twin Pit Craters and a flamingo lagoon at Cerro Dragón. Continue to your hotel.

After breakfast, enjoy a tour to one of the nearby islands on-board a day yacht. You will enjoy lunch on-board and explore one of the islands teeming with animal and bird life. Return to your hotel.
