Early flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas. Free morning at leisure. A guided tour of Cuzco will include visits to the Main Cathedral, the Main Square, Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and the Qoricancha temple.. Overnight accommodation.

Excursion to Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas with a visit to the ancient Inca market of Pisac followed by lunch before continuing the tour to Ollantaytambo, site of the last undefeated bastion of the Inca Empire. Overnight accommodation in Cuzco.

Early train journey to Aguas Calientes for a full day's guided tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world. Free time before overnight accommodation in Aguas Calientes.

Opportunity to revisit Machu Picchu (entrance tickets not included today). Free day before returning to Cuzco aboard the afternoon train. Accommodation in the Inca capital.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Puerto Maldonado. Reception at the airport and transfer to your lodge. Afternoon excursions including a guided walk along one of the trails close to the lodge where you may see superb examples of bird and insect life. Take a boat ride along the Madre de Dios River to see the change in the environment as twilight gives way to darkness. Animals and birds are replaced by special species adapted to the darkness, such as nightjars, owls, capybara, and caiman.

Wake up early to observe the sun rise over the Madre de Dios River before the five-minute boat ride takes you to the Canopy Interpretation Centre where you can ascend the first tower, 45 metres (150 feet) above the forest floor. Spend time to see giant strangler fig trees, orchids, toucans, woodpeckers, trogons, and with luck, monkeys or a three-toed sloth. We will then embark on a 40-minute boat ride that takes you to the Tambopata National Reserve. Spend an hour-and-a-half walking the 3 km. (1.8 mile) trail through the wildlife-rich reserve, and you will arrive at the breathtaking oxbow lake called Lake Sandoval.

After breakfast, check out of the lodge and return by boat to Puerto Maldonado, an hour and a half upriver. Assistance with your luggage, prior to boarding your flight to Cuzco. Arrival and private transfer to your hotel.

Departure by tourist bus to Puno visiting en route several Inca ruins and the remains of the great Viracocha temple, Raqchi. We shall also stop at the highest point along the way, La Raya before arriving to Puno and transferring to your hotel for overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital of the Incas. After the one hour flight, reception and transfer to your hotel. Free day at leisure to acclimatize to the altitude.

Tourist bus to Arequipa, the most beautiful city in Peru. Stopping at various sites along the way with beautiful scenery throughout the trip . Overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, we drive through some wonderful scenery towards the Colca canyon, witnessing groups of wild alpacas, vicuñas and guanacos in their natural habitat. Arrival to Chivay, the main town of the canyon in time for lunch. Transfer to your hotel, located in the canyon itself. Free afternoon for personal leisure.

An early start to visit the Colca canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world (the deepest canyon lies only a few kilometres from here). We shall also have an opportunity to see the huge condor, the world's largest flying bird before returning to Arequipa. Overnight accommodation.
