Arrival in Lima. Reception and transfer to your hotel.

After breakfast, city tour of Lima; including a guided visit to the Cathedral, the Main Square and the San Francisco Catacombs. Afternoon transfer to Nazca. Arrival and overnight accommodation in Nazca.

Today we fly over the spectacular Nazca lines, gigantic drawings and figures engraved in the desert, some of which are over 2000 years old. Return to Paracas, located on the coast of Peru. Overnight accommodation.

A tour by boat to the Ballestas islands, commonly referred to as the "little Galapagos", here you will see an amazing concentration of sea birds and sea lions in their natural habitat. Return to the mainland and return bus journey to Lima and overnight accommodation.

Early flight to Cuzco, the ancient capital of the Incas. Excursion to Urubamba, the sacred valley of the Incas with a visit to the ancient Inca market of Pisac followed by lunch before continuing the tour to Ollantaytambo, site of the last undefeated bastion of the Inca Empire.

Early train journey to Aguas Calientes for a day's guided tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world. Free time before returning to Cuzco aboard the afternoon train. Accommodation in the Inca capital.

A guided tour of Cuzco will include visits to the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay and the Qoricancha temple.

Transfer to the airport for the flight to Puerto Maldonado. Reception and transfer to the Tambopata River port in Puerto Maldonado for the canoe trip to your jungle lodge. During the trip we will have lunch on board (Box Lunch) and will also have the opportunity to see caiman, turtles, capybaras, etc. Upon arrival we will be received with a welcome drink. After resting a little while we will do a short night hike where we will be able to see some nocturnal animals of the rainforest. Back at the lodge we will have dinner with our experienced guide and some of the naturalists who will be available to answer any of our questions or brief us about the Amazon rainforest and the Tambopata National Reserve.

To see the giant otters we will have to get up very early and walk with our guide approx 5 ½ km. To Cocococha oxbow lake. On the way we will have the opportunity to observe plants, exotic insects, colorful butterflies, birds, monkeys and, with a bit of luck, perhaps even see some of the large mammals. After arriving to the lake we will hide in a strategic hiding place and will wait for the otters to appear. While waiting we will take the chance to have a refreshment. Afterwards canoes will be available for us to go for a short ride around the lake watching the wildlife on the shoreline. Back in the lodge we will probably have a late lunch and also have the afternoon free for relaxing or doing independent activities for those who wish to do them. Before the sun sets we will go with our guide on a short afternoon walk to the Sunset Point and watch the beautiful Amazon rainforest sunset. After the sun sets we will board the canoes once again to look for caiman. Dinner.

After an early breakfast departure by boat back to the city of Puerto Maldonado, directly to the airport, for your return flight to Cuzco and transfer to your hotel.

Departure by tourist bus to Puno visiting en route several Inca ruins and the remains of the great Viracocha temple, Raqchi. We shall also stop at the highest point along the way, La Raya before arriving to Puno and transferring to your hotel for overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, transfer to the port for the boat trip on Lake Titicaca to the reed islands of Uros. A visit to the Aymara island of Taquile, lunch on the islands cooked and served by the island inhabitants, before returning in the afternoon to Puno. Overnight accommodation.

Tourist bus to the Colca Canyon. Overnight accommodation in Chivay.

An early start to visit the Colca canyon, the second deepest canyon in the world (the deepest canyon lies only a few kilometres from here). We shall also have an opportunity to see the huge condor, the world's largest flying bird before returning to Arequipa, witnessing groups of wild alpacas, vicuñas and guanacos in their natural habitat. Arrival to Arequipa.

After breakfast, a city tour of the "white city", including the 16th century convent which is built entirely of volcanic lava. The Misti Volcano stands as a sentinel behind this colonial city. Return flight to Lima in time for your connecting flight home.
