Arrival into La Paz and transfer to your hotel.

Morning city tour of La Paz, with a unique topography containing few flat areas and protected by its eternal guardian, the snow peak of Ilimani (6402m). Housing the seat of government, La Paz is a city of contrast, between both ancient and modern. A visit will also be made to the Valley of the Moon. The city centre sites include the Plaza Murillo (with its presidential palace, national congress and metropolitan cathedral), museums, and many interesting markets. Free afternoon.

After breakfast, visit to the site of the oldest civilisation in Bolivia. Tiahuanaco was the centre of a very powerful empire stretching back to before 500BC. Excavations are still in progress but many stone ruins including the sungate and central square are in excellent condition. Return to La Paz.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Uyuni. Pick up for the start of the Salares de Uyuni tour. We start with a visit to the train cemetery followed by the villages of Alota and Kulpina K, the mining town of San Cristobal and the valley of rocks, famous for its gigantic rock formations. Lunch on route. Arrive to Ojo de Perdiz, Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Tayka del Desierto.

Breakfast. Visit the Siloli Desert where it is possible to see an interesting rocky formation known as Stone Tree. On this interesting journey passengers will be able to observe the famous llamas, vicuñas and a particular rodent known as viscacha. Enter to the National Reserve of Andean Fauna Eduardo Avaroa and visit the Red Lagoon that is very impressive for its red colour, due to a fine reddish sediment accumulation in the surface, as well as the pigmentation of certain type of seaweed. This lagoon is populated by 3 species of flamingoes (among them the famous James). The trip continues towards Sol de Mañana (Morning Sun), this is a place where it is possible to appreciate fumes, geysers and volcanic holes. This landscape reminds us of the origins of the earth. The final part of the descent leads us to the Green Lagoon, an impressive aquatic mirror that resembles a giant emerald with a particular brightness in the mornings and afternoons; its color is due to the high magnesium content in the water. In the proximities of this lagoon, the Licancahur Volcano is located at (5,868 meters above see level) Box lunch and return to Ojo de Perdiz. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Tayka del Desierto.

Breakfast. Depart from Ojo de Perdiz towards Uyuni, on the way visit the Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, Chiarkhota and Ramaditas lagoons, Ollagüe´s viewpoint and the Incahuasi Island. It is located in the heart of the salt flat and is the greatest of a group of islands that represents an isolated ecosystem. The island is populated with a cacti species that measures up to 12 meters high (26.25 feet), providing an impressive view. Lunch and continue to Colchani. Dinner and overnight stay at salt hotel In the rainy season from November to March, the salt flat could be flooded in that case passengers will visit the train cemetery, the Colchani village where it is possible to observe the extracting salt process by hand. Visit the salt eyes, impressive for its geology and cross the salt flat as much as possible to enjoy a beautiful landscape. Transfer to airport for the return flight to La Paz and overnight accommodation.

After breakfast, prívate transfer to the airport for the flight to Asuncion, the capital city of Paraguay. Transfer to your hotel.

After breakfast, city tour of Asunción, a city with a picturesque combination of modern and colonial architecture, including the downtown and residential areas such as La casa de la Independencia, the Cathedral, Government Palace , Railway Station (visiting the oldest steam locomotive in America), The National Pantheon of Heroes, where lie the remains of the greatest heroes of Paraguayan history, Avenida Mariscal Lopez, also known as the Avenue of the Embassies.

After breakfast, private transfer to the City of Encarnacion, visiting en route Ita, where all year round local artisans exhibit raw ceramic works; Yaguaron, with superb expression of the Spanish-Guarani Baroque art where Gold plated carvings with native and religious motifs enhance this XVII century temple. Arrival to Encarnacion and transfer to your hotel.

After breakfast, visit to both upper and lower Encarnacion, followed by a visit to the Jesuits Fathers Indian Reductions of Trinidad (17th. Century). Perhaps the biggest attraction of Encarnacion are the Jesuit ruins of Trinidad and Jesus, which are the best preserved in the country. Designed by the Italian Juan Bautista Primoli, the ruins were barely finished by the time of the Jesuit expulsion from the country in 1767.Rarely does one find a UNESCO World Heritage Site with so few visitors, but that's only part of the attraction of these impressive Jesuit Missions. A walk around the atmospheric red-brick hilltop ruins allows you to absorb a sense of what once made these 17th and 18th century colonies so powerful that the Spanish crown had them abolished.

After breakfast, return to the capital city and transfer to the airport for your flight home.
