ITINERARY
Day 1. LIMA

Arrival to Lima, reception at the airport and transfer by private vehicle to your hotel. 5 star Marriott.

Day 2. LIMA (Breakfast)

After breakfast, visit both colonial and modern Lima, starting in the centre of this vibrant, metropolis. The tour will include a visit of the cathedral, dating from 1654 which still houses the remains of the conquistador Pizarro in the foyer; the Main Square, with the original bronze fountain built in 1650, the Government Palace where the President has his official residence and the San Francisco Convent, with its famous catacombs. 5 star Marriott.

Day 3. LIMA - CUZCO - SACRED VALLEY (Breakfast)

After an early breakfast, transfer to the airport for the flight to Cuzco. Arrival to Cuzco and enjoy a private guided tour of Cuzco including the Cathedral, Qoricancha temple, the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cuzco, Qenko and Puka Pukara. Transfer to the Sacred Valley and overnight at Tambo del Inka.

Day 4. SACRED VALLEY - PISAC - OLLANTAYTAMBO (Breakfast & lunch)

Full-day private excursion to the beautiful Urubamba, the Sacred Valley of the Incas, situated between Pisac and Ollantaytambo. It is an exceptionally fertile valley that was and remains the larder of Cuzco. Visit the market at Pisaq before enjoying a buffet lunch. Visit to Ollantaytambo, the only Inca town that was not defeated by the Spanish with an opportunity to explore the ruins which tower above. Late afternoon return to your hotel, Tambo del Inka.

Day 5. SACRED VALLEY- MACHU PICCHU - SACRED VALLEY (Breakfast)

Today you will have an early start and enjoy breakfast before your train to Aguas Calientes. The train will depart at 09.00am for the 2 hour journey. Arrive to Aguas Calientes train station, gateway to the lost city of the Incas. Then take the bus for the short ride up to Machu Picchu will meander through breathtaking mountain scenery up to the ancient Inca citadel. Shortly after, a guided tour of Machu Picchu, the most spectacular ancient city in the world. Built by the Inca Pachacutec, and comprising stone blocks fitted with masterful precision, Machu Picchu harmoniously blends into the mountain landscape. There are many theories as to the origins behind Machu Picchu but three of the most popular ideas include a temple to the sun, a fortress against the jungle inhabitants or a sanctuary for the Incas. This fabulous city has houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square, all connected by narrow roads and steps, and is surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side which were used for agriculture. Return train back to Sacred Valley and transfer to your hotel the Tambo del Inka.

Day 6. SACRED VALLEY - CUSCO (Breakfast)

Today you will enjoy a private tour to Maras and Moray before returning to Cuzco. Overnight at the Marriott.

Day 7. CUSCO - PUNO (Breakfast & lunch)

After breakfast, transfer to the train terminal for the Titicaca Train journey to Puno. Enjoying marvellous view en route, you shall also enjoy lunch onboard before arriving to Puno. Arrival, reception and transfer to your hotel, the Casa Andina Premium Hotel.

Day 8. ISLANDS OF LAKE TITICACA - UROS & TAQUILE (Breakfast and lunch)

After breakfast, pick-up to start your full day's excursion to the islands of Uros and Taquile. Your first stop will be to the communal islands of Uros, otherwise known as the reed islands, whose islands are made entirely of tortora reeds and home to a small community dating back to a pre-Inca culture. You will appreciate how these people toil out an existence on such a remote setting complete with its own school. After the visit, boarding of the yacht as you continue your trip to the Island of Taquile whose inhabitants are more closely related to the Aymara people of Bolivia than the Quechua Incas of Peru. You will enjoy a walk on the islands before returning to Puno on-board your yacht and return to your hotel.

Day 9. PUNO - SUN ISLAND - LA PAZ (Breakfast and lunch)

After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and transfer by bus to Copacabana in Bolivia, just after the Peruvian border, where you will have a look around the small town before boarding the Catamaran for a tour to the Sun Island. On this legendary island you visit the garden, stairs and the source of the Inca, subsequently the itinerary includes a visit to the Inti Wata Cultural complex, it includes the underground Museum of the Ekako, the centers of traditional medicine and construction of totora rafts, the Pachamama agricultural Inca, a handicraft Center, the Intica refuge and terraces the largest variety of Andean camelids located at mirador "Manco coat". Visit the Inti Wata complex also includes the possibility of sailing aboard an immense raft of reeds typical and a panoramic visit to the Inca Palace of Pilkokaina. Lunch before coasting to Chua, and continue onto La Paz. Overnight in Casa Grande.

Day 10. LA PAZ - UYUNI - COLCHANI (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

Early transfer to the airport for the flight to the Salares de Uynui, or Salt lakes. We will have an unforgettable trip across 12 000 km2 of fantastic salt landscape. We will enter the Salar by Colchani, where we will stop to visit the salt factory and we will receive comments on the salt family economy which command the life of this village. Once the first visit done, we will enter the Salar and stop at the salt mounts from where we will continue to the dominating and magic Thunupa Volcano. We will ascend a part of the volcano with the car to the Coquesa Mummies. From this point we will have a nice view upon the monumental Salar. Then we will descend to Tahua where we will have lunch at the comfortable Tayka Salt Hotel. In the afternoon we will depart for Chillima village, at the north, from where we will start the second ascension still with the car toward La Pucara. We will start 60 to 90 minutes walk to the impressive flat landscape of La Pucara de Chillima. We will spend the night in the Tayka Salt Hotel with private bathroom, hot water and heating.

Day 11. UYUNI SALT LAKES (Breakfast, lunch & dinner)

This day we will cross the Salar from north to south with the first visit at the Incahuasi Island which is one of the central tourist attractions. We will follow the little path to arrive at the top of the island from where we will get the amazing 360º view on the Salar. Then we will continue toward the Mala Mala Bahia, to find the Galaxia Cave where we will find a cactus sanctuary and petrified stromatolites and finally a Chullpas cemetery (ancestral burying) . The cave presents a very weird sub-aquatic geological formation from the era of the Michin Lake (300 000 years ago) and from the Tauca Lake (40000 years ago). We will continue the expedition towards San Pedro de Quemes where we will have lunch and a rest in the Tayka Stone Hotel. In the afternoon, we will head towards the lagoon chain of Cañapa, Hedionda, Chiarkota, Honda and Ramaditas, where we will see three types of flamingo and other kinds of birds. These birds live on the lagoons alongside the volcanoes After the last lagoon, you will enter the huge and great desert area with no roads. Here you will find the Tayka Desert Hotel, with private bathroom, hot water and heating.

Day 12. UYUNI - SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA (Breakfast & lunch)

We will start early to visit the Stone Tree which is a stone in a tree shape. Then we will arrive to one of the gems of the Eduardo Avaroa Reserve, the Coloured Lagoon. This lagoon is the main nesting centre of the three kinds of flamingos and its colour produced by algae and plankton activated by the sun and the wind give the red and pink colour to the flamingos. Then we will witness the geysers of Sol de Mañana. At this point we will be at the most elevated altitude of the trip (5000m above the sea level). The cold is intense and we will walk among the smoky and noisy vapour springs. In Polques, we can even have a bath in the hot springs and have a good open air breakfast. We will then approach another huge place the Desert Ladies Valley. After this valley we will head towards the Green Lagoon which is at the foot of the Licancabur Volcano. We will arrive at lunch time, which is the best time to see how its waters change colours from emerald green to deeper green. After this, we will continue toward the Chilean border and cross the border into San Pedro de Atacama. Arrive to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama in approximately 2 hours from the border. Day 13. SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA (Breakfast & lunch)

Tour of San Pedro de Atacama, cradle of the Atacama Culture during the pre-Columbian period. Followed by a visit to the Cordillera de la Sal (Salt mountain range) and the only view of the massive salt flat with the Licancabur volcano in the background. We will then visit the Pukara de Quitor. In the afternoon, excursion to the Valle de la Luna (Valley of the Moon) which astonishes visitors with its geological formation of salts and carbonates and where nature has shaped an astonishing landscape. Return to your hotel in San Pedro de Atacama.

Day 14. SAN PEDRO DE ATACAMA - CALAMA - SANTIAGO (Breakfast)

Very early morning departure to the Tatio Geysers to experience this spectacular demonstration of volcanic activity. In the middle of the Andean mountains, the El Tatio Geysers at 4,500 metres above sea level gush fumaroles at dawn. Return to Calama for your transfer to the airport and your return flight to Santiago. Transfer to your hotel, Singular Santiago.

Day 15. SANTIAGO (Breakfast)

After breakfast, a half day city tour of Santiago including a visit to the Main Square (Plaza de Armas) where you shall appreciate the beautiful Cathedral, Post Office and National Museum. Continue along the main avenue called "Alameda" to admire the San Francisco Church and the National Library. You shall also see the Mercado Central which is one of Santiago's most colourful markets. A visit to Cerro Santa Lucia, for a cable car ride up to the summit for a magnificent view of the city and surrounding Andes Mountains. After lunch (not included), a visit to the Undurraga vineyard, one of the largest exporters of fine wines in Chile. A visit to the Concha y Toro vineyard and the tour will end with some wine tasting before returning to Santiago.

Day 16. SANTIAGO (Breakfast)

After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight home.
