Peru, Bolivia and Brazil Highlights Tour
14 days / 13 nights.

As you arrive into Lima airport and exit customs and baggage, you will be warmly welcomed by our driver. You will be assisted with your luggage before driven South to Paracas through the coastal desert strip of the Panamericana. The journey by road will take about 4 hours. Reception and transfer to your hotel.
Day 2. PARACAS - NAZCA - LIMA (Breakfast)After breakfast, transfer to the port for a boat tour of the Ballestas islands. Commonly referred to as the "little Galapagos", here you will find an amazing concentration of sea birds and sea lions. After, transfer to the airport in Pisco for the fly-over tour of the Nazca Lines. The flight will take 1 hour 10 minutes and you will fly over both the Palpa and Nazca Lines where you will see gigantic drawings and geometrical figures, representing animals, such as a spider, a monkey and several birds which are engraved in the desert sands of Nazca. Visible only from the air, these huge markings were once believed to be an enormous astronomical calendar. Exact departure time of aircraft is weather dependent as windy conditions in the afternoon can delay flights. Hence, we recommend morning flights only. After the trip, time for lunch (not included) in the coastal area of Paracas before returning to Lima. You can expect to arrive back to your hotel in Lima around 6pm.
Day 3. LIMA - CUZCO (Breakfast)
After breakfast, with boarding passes in hand, you will be driven to the airport for your quick-check-in and brief one hour flight to Cuzco, the ancient Inca capital of the Incas. In Cuzco, you will be warmly welcomed and assisted with your luggage before your short private drive to your hotel.
In the early afternoon, you will be met for a tour of Cuzco including the Qoricancha temple or temple of the Sun, the Inca fortress of Sacsayhuaman overlooking Cuzco city, Qenko, Tambomachay and Puka Pukara. Return to the hotel in the evening.
Transfer to the railway station in Poroy for the Vistadome train to Aguas Calientes. After arrival, you will take the bus up to the ruins for a guided visit of the most spectacular ancient city in the world. This fabulous city contains houses, temples, warehouses, a large central square; and all connected by narrow roads and steps that are surrounded by terraces cut into the mountain side. After the tour, free time to enjoy this spiritual wonder. Opportunity for a guided trek (approx 1 hour) up to the sungate (Intipunku), which is a part of the Inca Trail, for a magical view of the sanctuary or alternatively an unguided climb to the top of Wayna Picchu, with a magnificent view of the whole Sanctuary (recommended for fit individuals only).Return to your hotel in Aguas Calientes.
Day 5: MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO (Breakfast)After breakfast, return to Machu Picchu for another visit including a climb upto Wayna Picchu Mountain. Afternoon return train to Cuzco and transfer to your hotel.
Day 6. RAINBOW MOUNTAIN (Breakfast and lunch)Today is a full day and quite challenging. We will pick you up early from your hotel and set out on a drive through the South Valley. The drive to the trailhead at Quesiuno (4,326 m / 14,189 ft) is 3 hours long. Once we reach the Inkintuyoc bridge, we will have breakfast. We then start off on our hike, following a lovely stream with horses as backup transport. You will be immediately surprised by literally herds of alpacas and llamas. We will have consistent views of the Ausangate Mountain. We will hike through villages and interact with the local residents. We will stop for a box lunch along the trail. Back on the trail, you will encounter more of the traditional elements of this trek. This includes potato fields and unique fauna. We have the prospect of seeing chinchillas and vicunas. Vicunas are the only non-domesticated animal of the llama family in Peru. Many red mountains are also a highlight of this portion of the hike. After a total hike of approximately 5 hours, we finally reach our destination, what we came to see the Rainbow Mountains (5,020 m / 16,466 ft). After getting over its beauty, you will have time to explore the area. You will have time to take pictures and enjoy the setting. We will spend approximately 30 minutes at the top. We then hike downhill the way we came. The hike will take 4 to 5 hours. A private van will be waiting for you when we return. We will embark on the 3 hour drive back to Cusco and drop you off at your hotel. Approximate arrival time is between 8 and 9 PM.
Day 7. CUZCO - PUNO (Breakfast & lunch only)After early breakfast, tourist bus to Puno visiting several sites along the route. Transfer to your hotel. There is also the option of a train (on some days only) or a flight.
Day 8. PUNO - SUN ISLAND - LA PAZ (Breakfast and lunch)After breakfast, pick up from your hotel and transfer by bus to Copacabana in Bolivia, just after the Peruvian border, where you will have a look around the small town before boarding the Catamaran for a tour to the Sun Island. On this legendary island you visit the garden, stairs and the source of the Inca, subsequently the itinerary includes a visit to the Inti Wata Cultural complex, it includes the underground Museum of the Ekako, the centers of traditional medicine and construction of totora rafts, the Pachamama agricultural Inca, a handicraft Center, the Intica refuge and terraces the largest variety of Andean camelids located at mirador "Manco coat". Visit the Inti Wata complex also includes the possibility of sailing aboard an immense raft of reeds typical and a panoramic visit to the Inca Palace of Pilkokaina. Lunch before coasting to Chua, and continue onto La Paz.
Day 9. LA PAZ - UYUNI (All meals)Very early transfer to the airport for the 6.30am flight to Uyuni. Arrival at 07.15 and pick up for the private tour to Colchani. Colchani is a village that lives off the Salt production on the Salar. We will see how they mine and process the salt with their rustic instruments and tools. From Colchani we will drive west into the great Salar de Uyuni. Stopping at the Salt Mounts where the locals dry the salt before they process it. Next we will drive into the blinding whiteness of the Salar and head towards the Isla Incahuasi. This is the official visitor's island on the Salar. Here we hike around one of Bolivia´s most amazing sites. The surreal island surrounded by a sea of salt is home to huge cacti, some over 1000 years old. A Arrive to Ojo de Perdiz, Dinner and accommodation at Hotel Tayka del Desierto.
Day 10. OJO DE PERDIZ - RED LAGOON - GREEN LAGOON (All meals)Breakfast. Visit the Siloli Desert where it is possible to see an interesting rocky formation known as Stone Tree. On this interesting journey passengers will be able to observe the famous llamas, vicuñas and a particular rodent known as viscacha. Enter to the National Reserve of Andean Fauna Eduardo Avaroa and visit the Red Lagoon that is very impressive for its red colour, due to a fine reddish sediment accumulation in the surface, as well as the pigmentation of certain type of seaweed. This lagoon is populated by 3 species of flamingoes (among them the famous James). The trip continues towards Sol de Mañana (Morning Sun), this is a place where it is possible to appreciate fumes, geysers and volcanic holes. This landscape reminds us of the origins of the earth. The final part of the descent leads us to the Green Lagoon, an impressive aquatic mirror that resembles a giant emerald with a particular brightness in the mornings and afternoons; its color is due to the high magnesium content in the water. In the proximities of this lagoon, the Licancahur Volcano is located at (5,868 meters above see level) Box lunch and return to Ojo de Perdiz. Dinner and overnight stay at Hotel Tayka del Desierto.
Day 11. OJO DE PERDIZ - UYUNI - SANTA CRUZ (Breakfast and lunch)Breakfast. Depart from Ojo de Perdiz towards Uyuni, on the way visit the Cañapa, Hedionda, Honda, Chiarkhota and Ramaditas lagoons, Ollagüe´s viewpoint. Transfer back to Uyuni in time for the flight to Santa Cruz. Overnight in Santa Cruz.
Day 12. SANTA CRUZ - IGUAZU (Breakfast)After breakfast, transfer to airport for your flight to Sao Paulo and onward to Iguazu. Arrival and transfer to your hotel.
Day 13. IGUAZU FALLS (Breakfast)After breakfast, a half day excursion to the Brazilian side of the falls. The fabulous UNESCO World Heritage Iguazu falls, the most voluminous falls in the world and more than three times the width of the Niagara Falls. The falls lie on the three borders of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. Return to your hotel. If time, you can visit the nearby bird park.
Day 14. IGUAZU FALLS - SAO PAULO (Breakfast)After breakfast, transfer to the airport for your flight to Sao Paulo and your continuing flight home.
